Whistler Cooks produces a line of fresh sauces using the best local and imported ingredients. All our sauces are produced in Whistler and are fresh for 180 days from bottling in refridgerated storage.
Our sauces are great for salads to meats, cooking to dressing, and basting to dipping.
Candied Ginger Sesame Vinaigrette
Great for spinach salad, chicken or seafood stir-fry, sautéing prawns & shellfish and dipping for spring rolls and prawns or on raw oysters.
Try our recipe: Marinate fresh salmon with vinaigrette, grill, add more vinaigrette to finish.
Basil Pesto Vinaigrette
Use with lighter lettuces or over tomatoes and avocado. Brush on bread for croutons or use as a marinade and sauce for grilled vegetables and perfect with potatoes and pasta.
Try our recipe: Breast of chicken stuffed with chèvre cheese and pine nuts (tie into ball with twine), baste with vinaigrette. Bake until cooked and finish with more vinaigrette.
Mint Dijon Tapenade Sauce
Absolutely great on lamb rack or a lamb roast.
Try our recipe: Boiled Pemberton potatoes tossed with a little butter and sauce.
Miso Honey Cilantro Sauce
A sweet and salty dressing for arugula and spinach salad.
Try our recipe: Stir fry veggies, bok choy, and cashew nuts. Toss with sauce and serve over hot noodles.
Balsamic Blackberry Vinaigrette
A favorite on salads, and satays.
Try our recipe: Sear beef tenderloin in hot oiled pan. Baste with vinaigrette and finish in the oven. Garnish with gorgonzola cheese and cooked asparagus. Drizzle more vinaigrette on before serving.
Oven Dried Cherry Vinaigrette
Perfect for salads, also great with baked brie in Filo pastry and some greens.
Try our recipe: Grilled vegetables topped with crumbled feta cheese and finished with vinaigrette.
